The Apostles' Church is filled with joy as she announces the following:

Bishop Cameron has Ordained five (5) new Deacons and three (3) new priests at a Saturday January 3, 2009 Mass held at St. Brendan's. Our new Deacons are the Revs. James Morrison, Jr., Steven Saftner, Emily Wilson, Deborah Britenbaker and Cindy Huffman. Our New Priests are the Revs. Carl Cook, Carol Taylor and Cherita Raford. We welcome them as clergy and pray that God directs them in their ministries.

We praise the Lord for the visit of Bishop Riahof Jerusalem on December 20, 2007 in Detroit. Bishop Larry and several clergy met the Bishop of Jerusalem at the Detroit Airport and enjoyed a fruitful and Spirit-filled gathering.

THE ORDER OF THE ANAM CARA met in Chapter on Saturday January 3, 2009 to induct two new Culdees into its rank. Abbott Nate performed the ritual at Pilgrim Church with Monks from the Order participating as we welcomed in two new Culdees Mr. Courtney Bowlds and Mr. William Armstrong from the Great State of Indiana.

Three New Blessings to Announce!

(1) Rev. Fr. John Shump has been appointed by the Ordinary as the Apostle's Church Vicar General.

(2) Rev. Fr. Carl Cook has been elected by the Synod as the Vicar of the House of Clergy.

(3) The Rev. Beverly Lyle will be Ordained with Holy Orders on Sunday July 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. The Ordination will take place at Pilgrim Church in Toledo, Ohio.
